British singer-songwriter James Arthur has gone viral in the Philippines with the growing
the popularity of “Car’s Outside,” an old song off his 2019 album, YOU.

The uptick in demand comes from the piano-driven ballad’s resurgence on the short-form video app TikTok. The rousing ditty has garnered more than 500,000 videos on TikTok alone,
including combined original and sped-up versions.

Car’s Outside” also proved to be popular on streaming, as it peaked at No. 34 on the Spotify Philippines’ Chart, becoming one of the surprise hits of 2023.

Elsewhere in Asia, the track has gained success on a similar platform, particularly in Malaysia
and Indonesia, where it has landed in the Top 10 of the respective countries’ Spotify overall
charts.

Aside from “Car’s Outside,” James Arthur is also receiving impressive traction in the region,
especially with his cover of Christina Perri’s hit, “A Thousand Years.” Both songs have climbed
in the top 5 of James Arthur’s most popular songs on Spotify and are steadily rising in several music charts worldwide—thanks to their viral appeal and relatable message.

The Middlesbrough-born and most successful X Factor winner of all time has scored 4 top 10
albums, with 2016’s Back From The Edge hitting the Number 1 spot. Over his career, he has
collaborated with the likes of Anne-Marie, Sigala, Rudimental, Marshmallow & many more.

James Arthur’s “Car’s Outside” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.
